Be Nightsafe

Young people are entitled to a good night out, but it should be safe too.

AVDC is working with Thames Valley Police and The Buckinghamshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team to make young people more aware of alcohol and drugs and their affects on behaviour and personal safety.

Aylesbury and Buckingham are both relatively quiet at the weekend compared to many city centres but people can still run into trouble. When out with friends having a good time, it's easy to forget the dangers around you. People can do silly things while drunk, like fighting, having unprotected sex or just wandering around in the middle of the road. A hangover the next day can sometimes be the least of your worries.

That's why a team of Nightsafe workers will be on hand in Aylesbury and Buckingham giving out friendly advice and information packs to young people. The Nightsafe events will take place between 8pm and midnight on a bi-monthly basis in both towns.
