The shop is coming...
The village shop will open this year unless there is some serious hiccough. Two of the key milestones – planning permission and the legal framework for the shop – are now achieved, and the Management Commitee is now on the very busy road to building and opening the shop. A big thank you to all who have helped us get this far.
The shop has been set up as a Industrial and Provident Society. You can read the rules of the Society here, but the very short summary is that this is a not-for-profit company with membership open to all who support our objective of opening a shop for the benefit of the North Marston community, one vote for every member and any surpluses to be used to grow the business or for village projects. We hope that everyone in the village will become members.
