Barnados Support 4 Parents project

Barnardo's is setting up a new project in Buckinghamshire to help parents who are struggling with the day-to-day tasks of parenting. Being a parent is the most important job we will ever have, but also the most difficult, with long hours, new challenges every day and no training. No wonder that sometimes parents could do with a helping hand.

Barnardo's wants to help these families with young children by offering support from trained volunteers.

If you have parenting experience or practical knowledge of young children, care about families and want to help whatever their circumstances, then please consider becoming a volunteer for Barnardo's.

We offer initial and on-going training to enable you to offer focussed, time-limited and regular support of families. You will receive support and supervision to help to maximise your help and be able to claim agreed travel expenses. We ask that you have time to visit a family once a week for approximately two to three hours and can attend training and supervision.
