New arrangements for concessionary bus passes
All enquiries regarding new passes and new applications are now administered by the County Council. Residents applying for their first pass can:
- telephone 0845 5212521 to request a form
- send an email to bucksccbuspass@chiltern.gov.uk
- write to Buckinghamshire County Council, PO Box 835, AMERSHAM HP6 9GL
- go to the website of Concessionary bus passes, where there is a further information sheet and a downloadable application form.
Existing holders whose concessionary bus passes are due to expire between 31 March and 30 June 2011, will receive a renewal form in the post from their District Council. Passes for those who have already returned this form to their District Council, will be sent out by 1 April 2011. Any queries regarding your renewal form should be addressed to Aylesbury Vale District Council.
Buckinghamshire County Council will be responsible for all bus pass renewals from July 2011 onwards.
Buckinghamshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Transport, Valerie Letheren, said: "Transport for Buckinghamshire is pleased to be taking over the responsibility of the Concessionary fares scheme. It is an excellent scheme, which improves accessibility for a large number of senior and disabled residents across the county."
