The County Council needs foster carers needed
Currently there is a shortage of foster carers and we are looking for people who can provide short term, long term or respite care.
We aim to place all children needing foster care within a 20-mile radius of their home and community. This enables them to have regular contact with their friends and family, and ideally saves the disruption of children in care needing to change schools.
Foster carers provide a valuable service by caring for children and young people in a family environment while their own parents are unable to look after them. Fostering is often a temporary arrangement and the children return to their parents.
Foster carers can come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We would like to increase the diversity of our foster carers and welcome enquiries from people who are considering fostering in Buckinghamshire.
