Kath Lambourne celebrates 100 years

Kath Lambourne

Kath Lambourne (née Young) celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday 5th May 2011 at The Lindens Residential Home in Stoke Hammond.

She was born in North Marston in 1911 to Lily and John Young at the family home in Quainton Road (now the site of Dudley Close) and, on her marriage to Arthur Lambourne, moved to 6 High Street in the 1930s, later giving birth to her son, Roger. She lived in the same house until 2009.

Kath received a congratulatory telegram from Her Majesty the Queen, and a tea party was held at The Lindens with her family and friends.
