Sportsfield Fun Day

The Sports Field committee held a family-orientated Fun Day on Saturday 22nd August 2009 on the Village Hall field.

It was a fantastic afternoon. A glorious sunny day started with a treasure hunt and much bouncing on the Bouncy Castle. A basketball competition was followed by a very competitive rounders competition, and everyone had a great time.

And we made approx £140 profit towards the Sportsfield project, so thanks to everyone who turned up and played their part.

Thanks to the boys (who included Gordon Bowden, Simon Hogarth, Andi Swain, Pete Williams) for doing a brilliant job running the Pimms and barbeque tent; the cricket on the radio in the background and copious measures of Pimms helped I am sure.

Thanks too, as ever, to the Lanes and the Shottons for helping the set up, and to Jon Martin for donating the basketball hoop-throwing prize.
