The North Marston Village Hall

North Marston Village Hall

The Hall was originally built in 1928, and stands in a prominent position in the village, at the junction of the High Street, Granborough Road and Quainton Road (see point B on the Village map).

It is one of the main focal meeting points in the Village, and holds numerous weekly activities. It is available for hire for both Village residents and other local groups and people.

During term time, the Schorne Pre-School uses the hall every weekday mornings. Other regular activities include a Mother and Toddler Club, Brownies, Monday Club and the local MADS group (Marston Amateur Dramatics Society). The Village Diary shows all the confirmed Hall bookings.

The building consists of a large 13x7m hall, with a wooden floor and a tall open ceiling, giving it a light and spacious environment, with a maximum capacity for 100 people. You enter the hall through a porch area; to the side of the hall is the kitchen area and toilets. Within the hall is a portable staging system, chairs and tables, for both children and adults. Surrounding the hall is a grassed garden area which can be used with the hall during the summer months.

The main hall and kitchen was redecorated in 2009. During 2010 other areas of the hall are planned to be refurbished.
