Say hello to Mark Sheldrake

Mark and Rhino at 11 High Street

Although Mark has only just moved to 11 High Street, the village has been second home to him ever since he can remember.

Mark was born and brought up in Watford, and has two children – Martin 28 and Teresa 25 – and one grandson Charlie, aged 3. Mark works in the print trade in St Albans.

Mark loves sport, and played football as goalie for many years. Not surprisingly he is a season ticket holder at Watford FC (who at the time of writing are doing slightly better than my team and have an FA Cup trip to Stamford Bridge to look forward to). Mark also likes boxing and cricket, walking and cycling and anything to do with village life.

Coming home

Mark's grandmother was born in North Marston, and Mark has been visiting the village regularly all his life. Mark is Janet Gowin's cousin once removed and is also related to the Tattams. He remembers fondly childhood picnics in a field off Hogshaw Road followed by tea at the Tattams.

Mark loves North Marston, finds the locals very friendly, and has very nice neighbours on both sides of his cottage.
