The North Marston and Granborough Lions
The Lions are the new under-10 team for next season that will be competing in the Milton Keynes Development League. After successfully kicking off their league football careers in February, the team are looking forward to their first full season and a cup campaign starting in September.
We will be playing teams from all over the North Buckinghamshire area, and with the imminent completion of the fantastic Sportsfield facility we will be using that as our home ground.
Although as a club there have been weekly coaching sessions for a number of years it has not been until recently that we've been in a position to enter teams into the local leagues and have competitive teams, so watch this space for further teams to follow in the coming seasons.
Whilst the club continues to build we will also be ensuring that it doesn't lose sight of its core values in providing a safe, friendly environment that provides the opportunity for all children (girls and boys) of all abilities to be able to develop their footballing skills and most importantly to have fun.
We are entirely a voluntary based club for the local community so if you would like to discuss the club further or would like to get involved please do not hesitate to get in touch.

The Lions get off to winning start
After the long anticipated wait for their first home game at the new Sportsfield facility, the Juniors marked the occasion on Saturday 30th April 2011 with a resounding 7-2 win.
The Juniors were straight into the match and played their good passing football from the kick off and it wasn't long before their first home goal was scored by Evans. They created a lot of chances in attack with Evans and Thompson combining well in the early stages. Smythe, Bunyan and Mordue also contributed well from midfield and set up further chances. The team were also showing their defensive abilities when called upon, with Radcliffe keeping the opposition out and Herbert and Mobsby making those all-important tackles and interceptions to finish the first half 3-0 up.
It continued to be a good all round team performance in the second half, with a balance of attack and defence and good running and energy throughout the match from Bunyan, Smythe and Mobsby who were constantly creating chances for the attacking three of Mordue, Evans and Thompson and scoring some themselves as well. The good defence continued throughout the match with some well-timed and important tackles from Herbert with Radcliffe continued to keep them out. Goals from Alex Evans, Oliver Bunyan and Ben Symthe.
It was a great occasion, with the children enjoying being part of a team and having great fun.
