Grit bins

The Parish Council have paid for salt bins at various points throughout the village. Once the initial payment has been made, these are then restocked by Buckinghamshire Council's Highways team with a 50:50 mix of salt and sharp sand.

It is important to note that the salt is provided for use on roads and pavements only - it must not be used on driveways or private properties. All residents are, however, welcome to use the salt to treat roads and pavements when the conditions require it.

New salt bins cost £450. If a further need is identified, please raise it with the Parish Council so that we can collectively determine whether there is a genuine need before applying to the Council.
