The sports field

The sports field, shared with our neighbours in Granborough, is situated on the Granborough Road just outside of the main village. It underwent a huge renovation project back in 2008-2009 to transform it from an unloved open space into the high quality and frequently used facility we have today.

Facilities include a large pavillion, with a function space as well as a fully equipped kitchen and toilets. We have a full size cricket field, with a well kept square that offers a natural pitch and an artificial alternative. Our cricket nets are a highly popular additional feature. We also have football goalposts that are portable and can be set up to accommodate games for different age groups.

In addition, we have a well-used trim trail across two sides of the space - and a nature trail that runs through the wooded area at the edge of the field. This is used by the school for their forest school activities, in addition to walkers and explorers.

Villagers and visitors are welcome to use the field for walking, running and training - and dogs are very welcome, as long as their owners pick up behind them. There is a large car park available for all users.
