The Wesley Centre

The Wesley Centre is situated in the former Methodist Chapel on Schorne Lane. ​The Centre is run by the Ecumenical Church Council, which is the governing body of St Mary’s Church and The Methodist Church.

The Council was formed when the two churches combined and the Methodist building closed for worship in 2004.​​ Indeed, the space is frequently used by the church today for coffee mornings, lunches and the monthly 'Messy Church' service.

Additionally, this newly renovated building has been purposely designed as a venue for parties, activity groups and wedding receptions - and as a conference and meeting room for small businesses. The centre can accommodate up to 80 guests and has a modern fully-equipped kitchen, as well as full access and disabled toilet facilities.
