North Marston is a village in North Buckinghamshire with approximately 280 houses and a little over 700 residents.
Yet for such a small village there is so much happening - underpinned by an abundance of community spirit. We hope that this website represents this blend of activity and neighbourliness and acts as a welcoming starting point for visitors and residents (new and existing) alike.
The village has many stories to tell throughout history and fascinating connections to royalty and miracles. You can find more about the history of North Marton on the dedicated page - and the active History Club offers a deep insight into these stories for those who would like to know more.
Today, the village continues to thrive with a range of facilities and activities. Our residents benefit from the village shop, which is open 6 days a week, located in a beautiful log cabin adjacent to the village hall.
St Mary's Church offers a range of services and activities and the old Methodist Chapel has been updated to become The Wesley Centre, which offers another community hall to complement the Village Hall. Indeed, the sports field provides further facilities in the clubhouse, overlooking the cricket pitch and football pitch.
Our village pub (The Pilgrim) provides a welcoming and warm bar area, alongside a restaurant that offers truly exceptional food (recognised by the Michelin Guide).
Our children enjoy village life and benefit from a well regarded primary school as well as the preschool, which meets in the village hall. The park and play area have been recently renovated to provide a fantastic area for family picnics and fun.
There are a wealth of clubs and organisations that meet in the village, which are welcoming to new members looking to join. These are all listed on the site under the dedicated menu section.
Of course, it's not just organised activities that our residents and visitors benefit from. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside, with rolling hills, fantastic scenery and an abundance of wildlife. Walkers, cyclists and horseriders all benefit from this and we provide a brief overview of walks, bridle paths and footpaths on this site.
Whatever brings you to this site, we hope you feel welcome and are able to access the information you are seeking. We hope to see you around themvillage soon.
