Parish Council Small Grants Scheme

Each year, the Parish Council sets aside an amount of money to help support local voluntary organisations. The scheme typically opens for applications at the start of March and remains open for two months.

If your organisation would like to apply for some funds to help with the purchase of equipment or to help towards small project costs, you will need to include the following information on a separate sheet attached to a short covering email:

1. The name of the organisation applying
2. Your name and role within the organisation
3. What the funding would be used for
4. Why funding is needed (i.e. insufficient income from subscriptions or reserves held)
5. How much your organisation is applying for
6. Whether or not your organisation is able to put some money from its own reserves towards the purchase/project

If funding is to purchase equipment, for example, please supply/attach information about what would be purchased from an online or other catalogue with the cost.

Please note that an application does not guarantee funding, nor the full amount requested. All applications will be considered on their own merit. The Parish Council would prefer more than one organisation to benefit from the funds available, usually £1k in total. Also, larger projects with high and/or ongoing costs may not be considered suitable for small grant funding.

If you have received funding previously you will still need to apply again each year.
