As many of you may know, I will be standing down from my role as Parish Clerk in early January, after almost four years in post. I will be handing over to an experienced Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, Chloe Collins, who will take up the role on 5 January, and who will be the Parish Council’s main point of contact from that date.
Although Chloe does not live in the village, I am confident that she will be an efficient, approachable, and supportive Clerk for both the Parish Council and residents alike and I am sure that everyone will join me in giving Chloe a very warm welcome.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Clerk and have especially valued the opportunity to get to know so many people in the village through my work. There is a great deal about the role that I will miss; however, the time feels right to step back, spend more time with my husband in retirement, and finally pursue some hobbies that I have not had the chance to enjoy while in post.
I would like to thank all Parish Councillors for being such a wonderful group of people, and for their support throughout my time as Clerk.
Finally, I would like to wish everyone in the village a very happy Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. I look forward to seeing many of you out and about in the village in the future. As many of you know, I'm usually accompanied by my dog, Rose!
With warmest wishes,
Jan Brandon
