NOTICE OF VACANCY

Following the resignation of Councillor Christina Hutson, North Marston Parish Council has a vacancy to co-opt a Parish Councillor at its next meeting on Tuesday 13th February. The audit of accounts for North Marston Parish Council for the year ended
31 March 2023 has been completed by the external auditor, PKF Littlejohn LLP and the accounts have been published.

GARDEN TREE (AND SHRUB) GIVEAWAY 2023
(OXFORDSHIRE TREESCAPE PROJECT)
This is your chance to order a maximum of TWO FREE tree saplings or shrubs per household for your garden! The giveaway is being organised by the Oxfordshire Treescape Project and locally by Greener Winslow. Funding is from the International Tree Foundation, with local financial help from the Winslow Rotary Club and Winslow and Villages Community Board.
 
A variety of saplings are being given away. Please see the attached GARDEN TREE GUIDE link below in order to choose an approprite tree or shrub and for information about how you can order them. There are small, medium and large trees and shrubs available, so something for everyone!
 
The project runs from the 18th September and orders are on a first come first served basis.
 
Planting trees has many benefits including:
  • Fighting the climate crisis
  • Purifying the air
  • Lowering the air temperature
  • Preventing flooding
  • Sustaining wildlife

Local collection will be in November/early December and you will receive an email in November to let you know where you can collect your trees.
